TELEPHONE 0785 99 22 868 Any one wishing to open a wing or run a motor on Manchester paragliders air strip must now conform to the rules set down for Safe flying, Manchester Paragliders currently have a 100% safety record and would like to keep it that way.
Rules, not many so please stick to them,
No Flying after sunset, No flying lower than 500ft unless over our runway, Do Not over fly our neighbouring farms, Do Not fly towards Barton aerodrome, Do Not over fly small towns or housing estates lower than 1500ft, take the grass route its safer, Break these few rules and you will be asked to leave Do call Barton and let them know of your intentions and when your down, they prefer you to call than not call. tel. no. 0161 789 1362 ask for tower. The club membership allows the member only to fly from our sites in Astley and not to bring other none members to fly from here, anyone wishing to fly must join. Any flight training will be conducted by the CFI or otherwise appointed trainer. Please do not use Manchester paragliders as a means of advertising your second hand or new goods for sale. Members may bring spectators as long as they act sensible and have been advised on the dangers of an airfield. On entry to the field please lock the gate behind you, Please take all rubbish back home and dispose of it properly. We have hard standing for parking, please use it and not to park on the field. REMEMBER we are guests of Barton and Manchester airspace, lets act as responsible pilots.
